This ultimate frisbee event, at Citizen's field in Gainesville, is designed to make your team better. The games will be altered in ways to make your team focus on a particular element of play. An example is "a turn is an automatic score." Think of it a structured series of mini scrimmages.
Not only is the game slightly changed, but a swiss system will be used to generated pairings. So after 2 rounds, a 2-0 team will play a 2-0 team and an 0-2 team will play and 0-2 team. This is a bit like the "ladder" format, where the top teams won't play weaker teams (unless they lose) and the weaker teams must work their way up in order to play the top teams. It also means there's a chance your team will play the same team more than once, but your team will play teams that are closely matched to you.
The date of the event has not yet been set. We're working that out with the UF team now. It'll be on some Saturday (9:30am - 5pm) before college sectionals.
We expect most teams to be college teams, but it's not college only. Cost for this low amenity one day event is $50 per team.
